Just make sure you do it while it's off and/or unplugged and WAIT 30-45 minutes before trying to turn it back on again. I resurrected a super slim that got the YLOD in the same way. But anyway, the reason it stopped working is the super slims are JUNK. They feel so cheaply made and flimsy compared to the prior models. My understanding is that you can run OtherOS++ (the OtherOS hack) on the slim models but normal distros like Fedora or Debian still won't install (somebody plz correct me if I'm wrong). Either way you will need a PS3 that will accept custom firmware. If running OtherOS++ your only Linux options are T2 and Red Ribbon (again, correct me if wrong). More info: When i hold power button it beeps one, then beeps twice (in tv i can see 480i ) then turns off, the second time i hold power button it just doesn’t beep i can hold the button probably 40sec and finally just turn off, if i try again it repeats (one beep, two beep and 480i in tv, then turns off) and thats all, like a loop. However if you don't already have a OtherOS partition already set up on your console hdd, you will only be able to install on USB storage. Otherwise if you want Linux on internal hdd you have to install a patched PUP that will install the partition for you. 22Gb is usually the size of partition that most PUP patched to install it will use but that can vary, you could choose another size if you Not Working Try This : The PS3 has about several fan speeds. The low key idle noise, medium noise (playing DVDs, Bluray movies, Netflix), high and then the highest it could ever go. Unless you have a super cool house, it'll be at medium and high. If you're playing a game and the fan is at the highest within say, 15 minutes, then there's a problem with your PS3's cooling. There is a Main Power Switch right next to the socket for the power cord on the back of the PS3. Make sure it’s toggled so that the “O” is down and the “I” is up. You should have a SOLID RED light, right near the power button. You can start your PS3 with the any synced controller by pressing the “PS” button, just below “select PS3 Power fix green light turns on then seconds later PS3 shuts down no bleeps or lights. Half way through making the intended video the PS3 expectantly star In this tutorial i will show you hot do identify the problem with PS3 super slim.form more information watch the video Immediately you turn on the PS3, press the eject button to eject the blue ray disc. Once you eject the blueray disc, the PS3 stays on but you won't see anything. Turn the PS3 off with the disc still ejected, and then reset the PS3 (turn on and hold till it beeps) After it resets, and turns on, you can reinsert the disc and enjoy. qTSL.
