Never let it get above full. Change oil as often as possible and after any garage forced regeneration. Removing/gutting dpf, fixing whatever other issues are present may be only fix short of scrapping car. The dpf will continue to get blocked if something is causing engine to be "smoky" . Replacing dpf for say 1000 euro is no good if it blocks
P246C Excessively high pressures on the inlet side indicate a restriction on the DPF. P2463 is a generic codethat is defined as “diesel particulate filter restriction”. When fitting a new DPF it is recommended that a forced regeneration is carried out directly after resetting the ECU.
The super fine dust of the exhaust combines with oil and creates a thick sludge in the intake manifold. This then can flow down into the DPF and cause further clogging when really it's not the DPF. I've looked at 4 different diesel Subies, 3 of which have history of recurrent DPF issues and have undergone forced regen / DPF replacement.
How To Force Regeneration DPF. Forced regeneration is an effective solution to a variety of problems associated with your vehicle's aftertreatment system. When the DPF becomes blocked, the ECM will modify the parameters of the engine and switch on an extra fuel injector. This extra fuel reacts with the catalyst to burn the soot.
Warm up the engine completely (engine coolant temperature 80 °C {176 °F} or more ), depress the accelerator pedal and maintain a vehicle speed of 20 km/h {12 mph} or more for 15—20 min. Bring vehicle to a Mazda dealer. *1 :Turns off when PM accumulation amount is 5.0 g/L {0.31 lb/ft3} or less. *2 :The diesel particulate filter indicator
A blocked DPF is a restriction in the exhaust system, eventually it may become more difficult to drive. The garage carried out the forced regeneration, apparently a serious amount of heat, however the Engine Management light is still on and they cannot clear it as the code says that there is still DPF blockage.
started and you need to start back at point (2) 5. The DPF forced regen process will take between 40 and 80 mins depending on how badly blocked the DPF is. NB. Do not touch the accelerator or clutch as this will cancel the regen cycle. To purposefully cancel the forced regen, place the vehicle into 1st gear. 6.
The truck will still bellow white smoke if the truck is shut down during a regen process, cools, and restarts, coming back up to burn temp restarting the regeneration process again. Coming up to the 47000 mile mark to go back to the dealer for analysis. No solution yet. I have not had a code thrown yet.
So less than 6000km in a year - which would be regarded as very low mileage for a diesel. A 171 that had 63,000km when you bought it in 2020 was averaging over 15,000km a year under the previous owner (s). Multiple short trips without a long one to trigger a regen will cause the DPF to clog up.
Select “auto scan” to scan the vehicle for engine codes, a force region cannot occur while codes are present. Next, tap on the “Service” menu on the home screen; then tap the “DPF slash SRC” icon, select the button to initiate the forced regeneration on the vehicle, the instructions vary by vehicle, so take care to follow the
